The weather today is fine but partly cloudy. My husband and I went to Miyajima. We used my husband's car today. My husband's car is bigger than mine. His car is newer than mine. I was a little bit worried about his driving. Since my husband retired this spring, his car isn't used everyday. I felt something wrong. When we were in the first tunnel, my husband complained that our car acts strange. Our car went slower and slower until it almost stopped. There were many cars traveling at speeds of 100 km/hr. I switched on the hazard light. In order to avoid being bumped by the cars behind us, we should go to the shelter. 秋の宮島...いえ安芸の宮島 My husband stopped the engine of the car at the shelter. He waited for a while before he started the engine again. Then the car was okay. We were relieved. I thought that since the car was not used for a long time, its condition was bad. We were so scared this morning because of that. 船から撮影 We arrived to Miyajima safely. There were a lot of tourists. Itsukushima shrine was first built in 593 and then Kiyomori Taira was rebuilt. The shrine was designated as a UNESCO World heritage site in December 1996. I was a frequent visitor there since early childhood.
We went to the shrine when the tide was low. I wish it was high tide. We had no choice. The Japanese maple tree was very beautiful. The red leaves were now at their best in the Miyajima. I was very glad I could go there.
