I went to the exhibition of the sweets today. “ Carries in the world, conclude with a smile, power of the sweets”… It is the main theme. Golden Week is over, so I thought “Maybe, not so crowded today.” But different. I had to fall in line for more than 1 hour just to get inside the museum. The designs of each sweets, was fantastically made. The Itukushima confectionary design was great. All sweets.
My husband suddenly said to me , " Let's travel in Europe". He retired last Spring. We were planning to travel abroad at that time. But I need to take care of my mother and our dog. Both of them are getting old so I couldn’t go anywhere. We had to postpone the plan of travelling to Europe because of that problem. I abandoned the plan already. And I don’t expect to travel anytime soon but we decided to go to Europe next month We had a reservation through the internet.
My aunt called at 5:30 in the morning. She was crying at that time. My aunt said to me “ Your mother called me at around 3 o’clock am. I was surprised. Your mom sounds strange. Your mom doesn’t understand me. I am worried about her.” I said to my aunt “ Thank you very much. I understand. I’ll check my mother’s condition.” My mother will be 85 years old next month. I went to my mother’s home immediately.
I spoke to my mother about what happened. I spoke to my mother about my aunt's concern. And then my mother said , " I never called my sister especially last night . I am not lying". And she got angry. I checked my mother’s phone history. My aunt's name was not registered in the phone history. I'm sure my mom DIDN'T call her. I am relieved to know that my mom doesn't have dementia. She has a memory like that of an elephant.（記憶力がいいという意味にelephantを使う所が面白い） I understand my aunt mistaken my mom as the caller. The phone doesn't show the caller's face so there is misunderstanding sometimes.
This morning, it was raining but the weather got better in the afternoon. So, I went to the river. When I arrived at the river, I saw a white bird near the tree. I thought it must be a pigeon The bird cried at that time. I've never heard such cry. Well, I’m blest! It was a falcon! I wanted to take a picture of the falcon but I missed the chance to do so. I rarely see a falcon up-close I felt disappointed today.
I went to the river this morning. The weather forecast said it will be a fine day but it drizzled. The dry tributary was filled with water because of yesterday's rain. The rainbow arched over the mountain and the town. And the wind was blowing. My tent fell over by the wind. I was waiting for the kingfisher but didn't appear. The Male kingfisher invades a female kingfisher’s pond near the river They fight over territory at that time. They will be a couple sooner or later. I packed my tent by noon When I walked along the riverside I stumbled over the roots of grass. I soaked my clothes, tent, binoculars and tripod. I shivered because it was too cold.
